DielmoOpenLiDAR is based on gvSIG, but for the development of the analysis algortihms we are based on SEXTANTE extensions inside gvSIG being easier and faster to be implemented.
We choosed SEXTANTE because it was thought to develop new algorithms for geographical analysis following the easiest way possible. They have separated the graphic part from the algorithm, so that the developer just have to spend time implementing the geographical analysis algorithm.
In the other side, developers mailing lists of developers can also be used to solve technical doubts.
